I'm guessing I could start the Azure Pack install off on a PC outside of the datacenter, grab the offline folder when it's finished and copy that across. But it's far from ideal and certainly not suitable for use for large deployments. I guess I'm looking for Microsoft to make the installation process more enterprise friendly and able to operate under the constraints that we have in these environments.
Hi all, I just wanted to post on here for anyone who comes across this thread looking for a solution to the problem. The solution, as of now, is simply to install the latest version of the Windows Azure Pack Update Rollup 6, as of this time which now includes much better support for getting the Websites feature working in an environment that is disconnected from or has highly restricted access to the Internet. It now features a two-stage, GUI based process that allows you to download the required components on an Internet connected PC, zip that up into a single file, copy that across to your server and then point the install process at the offline source files.
Click in the "Offline" tab to create the offline installation package zip file from a computer with Internet access and the copy the websites installer and the zip file to the target machine. Re-run the installer and this time select on the second option to resume the installation using the zip file.
